Key Responsibilities:
- Support the HR Director: Assist in managing HR operations including recruitment, payroll changes, and complex case management.
- Streamline HR Processes: Boost efficiency by optimizing recruitment, enhancing employee relations, and ensuring top-notch compliance.
- Enhance Organizational Goals: Supporting and advancing key programs and goals, such as \"One City\" and \"High Performance,\" which aim to improve the organizations overall effectiveness and leadership.
- Risk Mitigation: Manage compliance issues, disciplinary processes, and legal liabilities to protect the organization.
- Professional Development: Provides general supervision on the development and implementation of training programs to enhance supervisory skills and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Comprehensive Support: Provide support across all HR facets and serve as a resource to all employees and departments.
- Connection: Engage with employees through meetings on an individual and departmental basis.
- Integrity: Assist in employee relations, including investigations and disciplinary actions.
- Teamwork: Actively participate in organizational activities and contribute to team efforts.
- Recruitment: Support efforts in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring with emphasis on managerial, exempt, and professional roles.
- Compensation: Assist in administering and tracking compensation adjustments.
- Special Projects: Conduct research and manage special projects, transforming complex data into actionable insights.
- Equal Pay Evaluation: Assist in reviewing and updating job descriptions to ensure fairness and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible work experience related to Human Resources management.
- Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) or equivalent is desirable.
- Proven experience in HR management with a solid understanding of ADA, FMLA, and Workers Compensation regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Actively looks for ways to help others and views others as critical partners.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and back up the HR Director effectively.
- Ability to handle complex HR issues and enhance departmental efficiency.
