Job Description
ThePublic Relations Coordinatorat the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds plays a key role in promoting events, securing
sponsorships, and enhancing community engagement. This position will focus on building relationships with sponsors,
managing social media and public relations efforts, and coordinating marketing campaigns to ensure the success of the
fairgrounds events and programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in public relations, sponsorship development,
social media marketing, and event promotions, with a passion for community-driven initiatives.
Duties / Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Sponsorship & Partnership Development
Identify, cultivate, and secure sponsorships for the county fair and year-round fairground events.
Develop and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors, local businesses, and community partners.
Create compelling sponsorship proposals and fulfillment reports to ensure partner satisfaction.
Track sponsorship performance metrics and provide post-event reports on engagement and ROI.
Public Relations & Media Engagement
Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and promotional materials to local and regional media outlets.
Coordinate interviews, press events, and media coverage for fairgrounds events.
Serve as the primary media contact, maintaining positive relationships with journalists, influencers, and local media.
Monitor and respond to media coverage, ensuring positive public perception.
Social Media & Marketing
Develop, schedule, and manage engaging social media content across multiple platforms to promote events and
fairground activities.

Run targeted digital marketing campaigns to boost event attendance and community engagement.
Monitor social media trends, engagement metrics, and audience feedback to optimize outreach strategies.
Collaborate with designers and content creators to produce eye-catching graphics and promotional materials.
Event Promotion & Community Engagement
Plan and execute PR-related events, including sponsorship activations, press conferences, and community outreach
programs.
Represent the fairgrounds at community meetings, industry conferences, and promotional events.
Work closely with event coordinators to develop promotional campaigns for the annual county fair and other
fairground-hosted events.
Crisis Communication & Reputation Management
Assist in developing and executing crisis communication plans for emergencies or sensitive situations.
Monitor public perception and online conversations to proactively manage the fairgrounds\' reputation.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:Associate degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field required; Bachelors
degree preferred.
Experience:2-5 years of experience in public relations, sponsorship development, marketing, or event promotion.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to secure sponsorships and maintain partner relationships.
Proficiency in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing.
Ability to work collaboratively with eve nt coordinators, vendors, and community stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with local media landscape and fairgrounds industry trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in sponsorship sales, fulfillment, and reporting, particularly for large-scale events.
Background in county fairs, rodeos, agriculture events, or community festivals.
Graphic design or video editing skills are a plus.
