Job Description Summary

Leads production staff to attain safety, food safety, quality and production goals. Leads team to identify, manage and execute the plant\'s process improvement opportunities. Manages and identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues. Ensures production resources, including materials, equipment and human resources are available as needed to maintain production schedules. Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost and customer service. Responsible for managing and owning various functions of the business and creating an engaged and team-oriented work force to improve business results.

Job Description

  • Identify problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves the issues.
  • Provide resources to position the team for success, including materials, equipment and human resources as needed to maintain production schedules.
  • Facilitate collaboratively on continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost, and customer service.
  • Oversee various functions of the business and maintain an engaged and team-oriented workforce to improve business results.
  • Function as a good corporate citizen, a partner in improving our sustainable responsibilities, and a supporter of the local community.
  • Participate in a training process that develops new Operations Team Leads into leaders capable of taking on future advancement opportunities within our growing company.
  • Help lead, teach and foster our World Class Safety/Wellness Culture, which helps us recruit and retain a talented workforce.
  • Help team members develop personally and maximize self-work to identify, manage, and execute the plants process improvement opportunities.
  • Empower the talent of production staff to attain production and quality goals.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Team Leader Production

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelors\' degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, Food Science, Agricultural Sciences, or other Natural Science degrees preferred. Other degrees will be considered.
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and loss
  • Knowledge of GMP\'s
  • Working knowledge of plant equipment and safety
  • Ability to distinguish normal/abnormal
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in a food-processing or manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Abili y to work weekends and/or shift work with a strong work ethic and employment history.
  • Must be available for an 2nd shift position.
  • A self-motivated individual that is able to multi-task and lead others.
