Kuehne+Nagel Lead Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift in Union City, Georgia

Your Role
Under the direction of the Quality Supervisor, the Quality Inspection Lead is responsible for the proper function of inspection activities under their direction in a manner consistent with service, quality and cost objectives and guidelines. The Quality Inspection Lead is a qualified inspector. As an inspector, the Quality Inspection Lead determines methods, operations, sequences, and set-ups to perform inspections. Inspects products for non-conformance to standards and/ or special requirements for Mechanical, Electrical component, Printed Wiring Assemblies, and First Article inspections as required. Also, assist others who are responsible for specialized inspection process such as found in statistical process control or other Quality Assurance Program. You will work Monday - Friday 3:30 pm - 11:30 pm and be paid 33.96 weekly.
Your Responsibilities
Generate Inspection reports and corrective action requests in the absence or request of the Supervisor
Report Quality findings or problems to Quality Supervisor and follow up to ensure corrective action has/will take place
Maintains record of inspections and prepares list of defects, interacts with other department to ensure compliance with specification and to facilitate the acceptance of parts
Monitors that Pratt & Whitney technical inspection requirements are followed
Attends standup and production meetings in the absence of the Quality Supervisor
Production vs. lead balance is roughly 50/50
Your Skills and Experiences
Minimum Education: High School, High School Equivalent or Technical degree.
Preferred Requirement: One (1) year experience in a lead or supervisory role
Successful completion of all required QSHE and related training
Identify and correct mistakes/inconsistencies when receiving/completing paperwork
Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Ideal candidate will have prior experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment
Overtime and weekends may be required
