Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Purpose:
Manager, Business Affairs Admin will be primarily responsible for DGA tracking. This individual will report to VP, Business Affairs Administration.
Essential Responsibilities:
Draft & distribute episodic director agreements for USG scripted Broadcast, linear & SVOD series
Book episodic directors for scripted broadcast, linear & SVOD series, including managing cancelled and revised bookings due to scheduling and production issues
Manage the newest DGA agreement and apply appropriately to guild payments
Authorize director payments in a timely manner, collaborating with Line Producers and internal execs to track and pay appropriately
Advise and consult with internal executives along with producers to resolve timely labor issues
Handle day-to-day business affairs, finance, labor relations and tax issues for broadcast, linear & SVOD series
Interface and coordinate with the following departments: creative, current programming, production, legal, finance, payroll, labor relations and residuals
Oversee guild analysis projects as requested by Labor Relations
Research guild audit claims and authorize settlement payments
Provide assistance as needed with labor and out of office coverage to WGA Tracking Manager
Requirements:
Ability to work in a high volume, demanding and fast-paced environment
Maintain confidentiality about private and sensitive matters
Able to work independently and exercise excellent professional judgement
Ability to create new solutions to address new and ongoing business issues
Superior communication skills related to daily interaction with internal production, creative and finance execs and outside agents and managers
Understanding of TV production; schedules, application of fees, DGA timetables for payments
Ability to understand and translate legal terms and Guild agreements into easy-to-understand language
Confident in pushing back on Guild, agents, managers, and internal execs when necessary
Superior computer skills, previous experience with Salesforce application preferred
Ability to juggle multiple priorities on a daily basis
Superior Organization skills
Minimum two years’ experience in Television Business Affairs Administration or para-legal setting in entertainment matters
Desired Characteristics:
Prior Guild experience related to memberships, payments and and audits
Prior accounting experience
Familiarity with Windows operating system and Microsoft office Suite, Outlook, Teams
Computer literacy, previous experience with database application management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in fast-paced environment
Outstanding analytical skills
High attention to detail
Must be able to work in a team environment

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
