Cherry Picker Operator - $20/hr.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a cherry picker operator to assist with order selecting in the large pick section of our distribution center in Upper Marlboro, MD. This night shift position involves operating a cherry picker to transport products weighing between 2 lbs to 75 lbs. The shift runs from 3:30 PM until the work is complete, depending on the number of orders and the overall speed of the team. Candidates must have strong experience in large distribution centers and at least 2+ years of daily cherry picker operation. Experience with wire guidance systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a cherry picker to transport products ranging from 2 lbs to 75 lbs.

• Assist with order selecting in the large pick section of the warehouse.

• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in pulling orders.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Adhere to the productivity standards and meet daily targets.

• Utilize wire guidance systems to navigate narrow rack aisles.

Essential Skills

• At least 2+ years of daily experience operating a cherry picker.

• Previous experience in a large distribution center (100,000 sqft+).

• Strong work history with no more than 4 jobs in the past 5 years.

• Ability to consistently show up on time and work the full shift.

• Experience with wire guidance systems is a plus.

Work Environment

Our facility is a very large, fast-paced warehouse spanning over 220,000 square feet with more than 25 bay doors. It is a clean and organized space, divided into various sections including a wire room and a large pick segment with floor-to-ceiling racks. The warehouse is equipped with wire guidance systems to facilitate efficient operation. This is a brand-new warehouse that opened on February 1st, 2024.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
