Job Description

This position is based in Uppsala, where Thermo Fisher Scientific, IDD develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. With 1,900 employees worldwide working with these products, and 1,000 in Sweden, we are the global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.

About the Team

System and Automation services is the link between technology and business at IDD. We are proactive, constantly learning and improving in our high-tech, multinational environment. We use our outstanding problem-solving skills and new technologies to serve and collaborate with internal teams and external counterparts.

The job

You will have the functional and operating responsibility for Laboratory production systems. You will also initiate development work to improve system functionality and ensure business continuity.

Your responsibility also includes leading the team of key users, system owners and internal customers.

Keys to Success:

To succeed you need to have experience in leading work and smaller projects related to system management. We work in a heavily regulated industry; it is, therefore, important that you are structured and good at documenting your work.

We are a large, international organization, so it's important that you are capable of working with multiple functions in a matrix environment and are comfortable in a regularly changing environment.

The successful candidate should be someone who takes the initiative, works in a structured and independent manner, but is also proficient in interpersonal communication and team collaboration, as much of the work will be carried out in teams.

Education

  • Master's degree from relevant field

Experience

  • Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) or equal

  • Life cycle management of computerized systems

  • Planning and leading verification and validation activities

  • Leading and drive process improvements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability with proven analytical skills

  • Structured and coordinated

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in English is required, good knowledge of Swedish or German is a merit
