Community Health Systems RN PCU Occasional in VALPARAISO, Indiana

Registered Nurse (RN) Occasional, Position in the Progressive Care Unit at Northwest Health - Porter Hospital

  • Part-time: 72 hours per 6 weeks (minimum), one 12 hour shift per week

  • Must be able to pick up shifts based on staffing needs. This could include, night shifts, day shifts, and weekends.

About this unit:

  • 30 bed unit, 5:1 patient to nurse ratio.

  • This unit is a great starting point for RNs interested in specializing in an ICU or Trauma area

This is a fast paced area that acts as critical care step-down from ICU, which includes cardiac and neuro patients, as well as patients at an acuity too high for med/surg

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) required, BSN preferred.

Licensure & Certification:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana.

  • BLS certification must be maintained while in this position

  • ACLS certification within 12 months of being hired
