Insight Global Project Manager - DEF in Vancouver, British Columbia

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Project Manager to join one of Canada's largest retail and wellness companies. As a Project Manager on the Digital Educator Foundations (DEF) Team, you are not just executing project management dutiesyou are shaping the way we work, fostering team culture, and driving continuous improvement. You bring a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum leadership, while also ensuring critical milestones, risk management, and timelines are communicated effectively across teams and leadership.

You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, designers, and business leaders, to streamline the delivery of impactful digital tools that enhance the educator experience. You are comfortable navigating between scrum team execution and high-level project roadmaps, ensuring our team delivers value iteratively while aligning with long-term strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

Manage project progress, budget, milestones, communications, risks, issues, and dependencies

Collaborate with business stakeholders to define project objectives, success criteria, and business requirements

Create and maintain relevant documentation and conduct knowledge transfer activities Lead Agile execution and governance: Act as a Scrum Lead, ensuring Agile best practices are followed while bridging the gap between sprint-level execution and leadership-level reporting.

Own milestone and timeline management: Maintain clear visibility into E2E project roadmaps, tracking dependencies, risks, and key deliverables.

Create and manage Agile and waterfall hybrid project plans: Define epics, sprints, and high-level roadmaps while balancing structured project planning.

Optimize and enforce project governance: Ensure compliance with DEF teams program-level governance while identifying and implementing process improvements.

Facilitate cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the Product Manager and technology leaders to align quarterly plans with team capacity and business priorities.

Manage and support Jira projects: Define workflows, maintain backlog hygiene, and ensure transparency in project tracking.

Proactively communicate project health and risks: Provide clear and concise status updates, ensuring that stakeholders are informed and aligned.

Drive continuous improvement: Foster a mindset of operational excellence, efficiency, and innovation within the DEF team.

Champion team culture and engagement: Plan team connection events, retrospectives, and initiatives to create a positive, fun, and high-performance team environment.

Skills and Requirements

3-5 years of experience as Project Manager focused on digital experience projects

Familiarity with educator-facing digital tools, retail technology ecosystems, and data-driven decision-making

Has experience with Agile/Scrum leadership, including leading scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, and driving Agile adoption

Strong experience managing software development lifecycles (SDLC) in both Agile and Waterfall environments

Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Agile project management tools.

Exceptional organizational and communication skillsable to distill complex projects into clear, actionable plans. Previous Experience as a Front-End Developer null
