Venturi is a subcontractor to a company that operates, maintains, and sustains mission-critical systems to provide safe and effective launch, testing, and tracking of Department of Defense, civil, commercial, and international space lift vehicles.We support ballistic missile, guided weapon, and aeronautical tests and evaluations as well as support space situational awareness operations and experiments to defend the United States to ensure our nation’s safety. This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base

This position is not eligible for a telecommuting schedule / remote work.

Tasks for this position must be performed on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance with Vehicle Monitors

  • Coordinate activities to repair vehicles after an accident occurs

  • Submit accident/repair report(s) to appropriate government agencies

  • Resolve recall issues

  • Coordinate vehicle Turn-ins/swap outs - including gas to electric vehicle form/fit/function swap outs

  • Perform annual physical audits and inventories of vehicles and usage forms

  • Track and develop metrics / reports on audits, mileage, maintenance and outside rentals

  • Analyze requirements for additional vehicles, analyze vehicle usage to make recommendations for allocation of resources and coordinate with Government customer on requirements

  • Generate AF 601 forms to Base Supply for updating authorization levels

  • Verify Government Services Administration (GSA) Vehicle bill backs and resolve discrepancies

  • Update mileage, maintenance, and new vehicle data monthly in GSA Drive Thru system

  • Manage the sheltering and recovery of vehicle fleet during natural disasters like hurricanes and wildfires

  • Update online vehicle checkout system as necessary

  • Develop, maintain and provide Vehicle Monitor training

  • Monitor vehicle budget, verify fuel bills and coordinate payments with RGNext accounting

  • Work with Gov Fleet Manager to get new license tags

  • Dispose / turn-in vehicles as required

  • Investigate and coordinate efforts on any Loss, Theft or Damage to vehicles

  • Update vehicle information in Maximo

  • Maintain current GSA/SPV Vehicle and Vehicle Monitor lists

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Logistics Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Fleet Management

  • Experience with Property Management and/or Logistics Support

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Experience with Government supply inventory systems preferred

  • Experience with Maximo preferred

  • Knowledge and experience working with Government Property Control, Government Vehicle Control and Air Force systems desired

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Ability to independently lift up to 40 Ibs.

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License
