The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Product Engineer at 3M’s Personal Safety Division Research and Development Lab in Varnamo Sweden , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Building prototypes and samples of electronic devices (soldering, assembly, testing)

• Developing solutions based on customer needs and requirements

• Documenting customer requirements

• Collaborating with global colleagues in cross-functional roles such as marketing, sales, regulatory and R&D

• Developing tests and test systems

• Supporting manufacturing

• Managing your own projects from customer request to first delivery

• Supporting change management for our existing product portfolio

• Supporting the development of new communications products

• Providing internal and external technical support

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Previously experience in electrical construction/electrical schematic

• Experience in soldering and assembly of electronics

• Accustomed to using the computer as a work tool (Office 365)

• Ability to effectively communicate (oral/written) in Swedish and English

• Ability to work both independently and in a team

• Proactive, responsible, and enjoys working with many different tasks

• Organized and able to respect deadlines

• Interested in learning things

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include

• Experience with AutoCAD

• Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) and PLM systems

• Knowledge of radio technology

3M Peltor i Värnamo söker nu en applikationsingenjör för kundanpassningar av kommunikationssystem.

Utvecklingsavdelningen i Värnamo består av ca 45 personer och är ett globalt Center of Excellence med ansvar för hörselskydd och kommunikationsprodukter. Som applikationsingenjör kommer du att ingå i Special Builds-gruppen, som är en del av utvecklingsavdelningen. Där arbetar vi med specialanpassningar av våra produkter för nyckelkunder.

Som applikationsingenjör på 3M Peltors utvecklingslabb i Värnamo kommer du att:

• Utveckla kundanpassade lösningar

• Bygga prototyper och prover med elektronik (löda, montera, testa)

• Dokumentera kundens krav

• Utveckla tester och testsystem

• Stödja produktion vid serietillverkning av specialanpassade produkter

• Stötta vid uppdateringar för existerande produkter

• Stötta utvecklingen av nya kommunikationsprodukter

• Samverka med globala kollegor med roller inom marknadsföring, försäljning, regulatoriskt och forskning och utveckling

• Agera intern och extern teknisk support

Är du den vi söker? I så fall har du:

• Erfarenhet av att konstruera enklare elektroniska system / rita elschema

• Erfarenhet av lödning och montering

• Allmän datorvana (Office 365)

• Förmåga att kommunicera både på svenska och engelska

• Förmåga att arbeta både självständigt och i team

• Förmåga att vara proaktiv och ta ansvar

• Ordning och reda och förmåga att bli färdig i tid

• Nyfikenhet och förmågan att lära dig nya saker

Det är meriterande om du har:

• Formell utbildning inom elektronik

• Erfarenhet av AutoCAD

• Kunskap om Product Lifecycle Managment (PLM) och PLM-system

• Kunskap om radioteknologi och radiosystem
