Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking highly talented Senior Product Repair and Modification Technicians to join our AOG Ops Tooling Support team in Victorville, CA. This is a hands-on working lead position where you will actively lead and support the team on a daily basis. You will be directly involved in the operations, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, rather than simply directing from a desk.

Position Overview:

As a Product Repair/Modification Technician at Boeing Victorville, you will play a key role in our repair stations, focusing on the maintenance, repair, and modification of various Boeing aircraft models. We are a small team working with numerous suppliers to offer our customers unique options for modifications of their assets. You will be responsible for diagnosing technical issues, executing repair procedures, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. This is an FAA Safety Sensitive position, which requires enrollment in the Boeing Repair Station Random Drug Pool. This role allows you to apply your skills in a hands-on environment, contributing to the operational excellence and reliability of our fleet.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Leads the assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by overseeing the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.

  • Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.

  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.

  • Directs troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.

  • Oversees validation/verification testing of systems and components.

  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.

  • Leads and supervises others to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).

  • Provides training and mentors others.

  • Works under minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with inspection on products and articles to the approved design data, specifications and requirements (repair station, maintenance repair organization, airline, etc.).

  • Experience with Aircraft Maintenance activities

  • Experience managing a team or working as a team lead in current or previous roles.

  • Flexibility to work any shift based on the needs of the operation; this role is primarily for the first shift but may occasionally require support for other shifts.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

  • Experience in the aerospace industry or with Boeing aircraft.

  • Familiarity with repair station operations and FAA regulations.

  • Certification in aircraft maintenance or related fields (e.g., A&P license).

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members.

  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

  • Proficiency in using maintenance management systems and tools.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

  • $75,650 - $102,350
