Position: Facility Security Officer
Location: Vienna, VA
Overview:Group W is seeking a resourceful and capable Facility Security Officer (FSO) to oversee, implement, and maintain security best practices related to a comprehensive industrial security program that covers a robust government contracting practice. This includes 100+ cleared personnel supporting company offices and multiple off-site locations; storage requirements, open storage areas, and processing; and secure communication equipment. The FSO will administer related programs such as insider threat and physical security. Group W maintains corporate offices in Dumfries, VA and Vienna VA and the FSO will be required to travel regularly between both offices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- 10+ years related experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree
- 7+ years' experience in security operations

``` - U.S. Citizenship - Active DoD Top Secret clearance
Preferred:
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Familiarity with government contracting requirements (DD-254) and compliance methods as it relates to industrial security at levels including Top Secret, TS/SCI, and SAP
- In-depth knowledge of the various government security enterprise tools and databases for facility and personnel security including DISS, NBIS, NISS, eMASS, etc.
- Up to date training required by DCSA with a FSO Certification for Processing Facilities and Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for AIS
- Security certification such as ISP (Information Security Professional) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- Experience with COMSEC (Communications Security) and Secure Internet Protocol Router Network
- Experience with construction requirements for building and certifying SCIFs (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) or SAPFs (Special Access Program Facility)
- Strong understanding of physical security requirements to include collateral open storage areas to meet contractual needs
- Strong knowledge of 32 CFR 117 compliance and experience in navigating complex security requests
- Experience with access control methods and systems, visitor control protocols, security training delivery and maintenance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen intently
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Administer day-to-day operational security requirements, visit requests, personnel processing, program reviews, document control, audits and self-inspections, violation investigations and reporting, etc.
- Create a secure environment for employees, vendors, and company visitors
- Interpret company and government security policies and apply them to program operations
- Respond to security breaches and complete subsequent reporting, analyzing, and enhancement of the security procedures
- Maintain personnel security files and administer personnel clearance program
- Serve as the liaison between Group W and the respective U.S. government security agency
- Manage site security planning, compliance, and coordination in accordance with the US Government and corporate requirements
- Manage employee and visitor access control systems
- Ensure that sensitive information is marked, handled, disseminated, stored, and destroyed properly by training employees and keeping them accountable
- Develop, provide, and maintain documentation of all security education
- Maintain and consult on DD254s
- Review, revise, and implement security policies and procedures
- Conduct security clearance briefings/debriefings and ensure that all staff members are adequately trained and informed on security procedures, security awareness, and vigilance
- Serve as the main contact for alarm systems at two facilities
- Assist couriers with labeli g, wrapping, and preparing security documentation of external transfers
Salary:$110,000 to $145,000(provided as a general guideline only. Compensation dependent upon relevant work experience related to the scope of the position, education, training, and market considerations).
