Description

We are in search of a Controller to join our team within the manufacturing industry, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, managing financial data, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the execution and coordination of all accounting functions

• Accumulate and manage all financial data necessary for accurate consolidation of business results

• Prepare and coordinate both internal and external financial statements

• Manage interactions with external auditors

• Provide vital financial information to management to aid decision-making

• Oversee the budget management process

• Assess and recommend improvements for current accounting operations, implementing new processes as necessary

• Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of accounting software and supporting databases

• Develop and monitor key business performance metrics

• Manage regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance

• Recruit, train, and maintain a competent accounting staff.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

• Familiarity with Crystal Reports

• Demonstrated ability in managing Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven background in Auditing

• Solid understanding of Budget Processes

• Ability to prepare Financial Statements

• Experience in managing Balance Sheets and Income Statements

• Proficient in Financial Reporting
