Job Title: Mechanical Assembler/POD Builder

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as POD Base and Shelf Builders. In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of PODS (inventory bins) at Amazon sites. This position requires significant physical activity, including standing and walking all day, using hand and power tools, and lifting objects to move them around. This is a dynamic role that involves mechanical assembly, inventory management, and light housekeeping tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly of PODS (inventory bins).

• Utilize hand and power tools for assembly tasks.

• Lift and move objects regularly throughout the day.

• Assist with inventory management.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with rivet guns, power tools, and hand tools.

• Experience in mechanical assembly.

• Ability to perform heavy lifting.

• Background in production or construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Attention to detail.

• Ability to document errors accurately.

• Strong communication skills.

• Physical capability to lift 40lbs regularly.

Work Environment

The work environment is located at Amazon ORF4, 1795 Dam Neck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA. The site is currently in the construction phase, featuring a construction work environment, including port-a-potties and non-climate controlled conditions. Be prepared for a physically demanding setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
