Description

Provide general tutoring assistance to students at the Virginia Beach campus, with an emphasis in English, Math, Accounting and Statistics

Use subject-specific software to supplement classroom instruction

Collaborate with LRC Coordinators and faculty to identify needs and implement creative tutoring solutions

Utilize LRC handouts and resources to supplement student learning and success

Assist LRC Coordinator in tracking usage of services

Assist students with utilizing online tutoring system

Provide English/Math Study Group Workshops

Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications/Competencies:

Strong writing background preferred

Tutoring and/ or teaching background preferred

Ability to make meaningful and positive connections with diverse student body in a career college environment

Familiarity with APA citation format

Strong written and oral communication skills

Basic computer/ software skills
