Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement domain-specific services strategies and technology roadmaps that align with organizational goals and drive services growth.
Being recognized as a subject matter expert for your domain
Plan, design and help customers migrate their on premises workloads to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Experience architecting, building, and maintaining applications on cloud platforms preferably in Oracle cloud
Lead and manage domain-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and alignment with architectural principles and service offerings.
Conduct workshops to facilitate knowledge sharing, gather requirements, and drive collaboration among cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to identify needs, opportunities, and market trends that enhance business development efforts to grow the services business.
Design and maintain scalable architecture solutions that support both current and future business objectives across our services portfolio.
Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of growth and development while ensuring knowledge transfer in architectural practices.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and architectural best practices to drive innovation and competitive advantage within the domain.
Specific Skills :
Cloud-Native Application Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices architectures that are highly available, scalable, resilient, and maintainable. Leverage cloud services like serverless computing, containers, and Kubernetes for flexible, cost-effective solutions.
Cloud Platform Expertise: Architect applications optimized for public cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), ensuring they fully utilize cloud features such as auto-scaling, load balancing, and high availability.
Microservices & API-Driven Design: Design applications using microservices architectures, ensuring independent services that can be deployed, scaled, and managed independently. Implement robust API-driven communication between services, enabling seamless integration with other systems and platforms.
DevOps & CI/CD Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for cloud-native applications, ensuring streamlined, automated deployment processes.
Cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) to provision and manage cloud resources, ensuring that infrastructure is consistent, repeatable, and scalable.
Scalability & Performance Optimization: Ensure the applications can scale dynamically in response to changing workloads, optimizing performance through effective use of cloud resources such as auto-scaling groups, load balancers, and caching strategies.
Cloud Security & Compliance: Design and implement security best practices in cloud environments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Architect solutions that maintain the highest levels of data privacy, encryption, and access controls.
Cloud-Native Application Monitoring: Implement robust monitoring and logging solutions to track application performance, availability, and security. Leverage cloud-native tools for real-time application monitoring (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Operations Suite).
Collaboration with Development Teams: Lead and collaborate with development teams to ensure cloud-native architectures are implemented efficiently, following best practices in cloud development, containerization, and application management.
Cloud Application Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the cloud-native application architecture, including design patterns, integration methods, deployment processes, and cloud-specific optimizations.
Technology Innovation & Research: Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies and trends (e.g., Kubernetes, serverless computing, container orchestration), and apply them to improve application design, efficiency, and performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of enterprise and solution architecture experience (Implementation /Consulting/Operation) required. Hands-on experience is a must.
Certification in cloud technologies will be an advantage.
Proven experience in designing microservices-based architectures, containerized applications, and cloud infrastructure.
Strong experience with cloud-native technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, serverless, and event-driven architectures.
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure services (e.g., compute, storage, networking, databases) and cloud-native tools (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Run).
Experience with CI/CD pipeline automation and DevOps best practices in cloud environments.
Proven experience in a leadership role within the technology domain with a focus on business development, architecture, services and consumption growth.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successful stakeholder engagement.
Ability to analyze complex problems, develop effective solutions, and architect scalable systems.
Technical skills
Deep knowledge of cloud platform services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), with a focus on application development and deployment.
Expertise in containerization and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
Proficiency with cloud infrastructure tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager).
Experience in designing and deploying microservices architectures using RESTful APIs and message queues.
Knowledge of cloud-native monitoring, logging, and debugging tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK Stack).
Strong experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL), including cloud-native database solutions like Amazon RDS, Azure SQL, and Google Cloud Spanner.
Desirable
Ability to multi-task and work with virtual teams across different engagements.
Tenacious with a passion for learning new and unfamiliar concepts.
Flexible to travel when required.
Relevant local language skills.
