V2X CBRN Section Chief in Philippines

Overview

This position is physically located in the Philippines in support of LOGCAP

Under supervision of the Senior Logistic Manager, The CBRN Section Chief is responsible for providing leadership along with daily oversight, direction, and guidance concerning the operations of the CBRN Equipment Section, and compliance with the requirements of the PWS. Army Regulations, Policies, and Directives.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  • Performs daily supervisory tasks covering all of the administrative activities.

  • Coaches staff daily, conducts training and continuous improvement.

  • Prepares performance appraisals as required.

  • Ensures employees are informed of and use safe work

  • Prepares, coordinates and distributes maintenance schedules, maintains scheduled service records and technical equipment calibration

  • Ensures CBRN equipment is operational and ready for

  • Monitors repair parts usage to determine if current stock levels are adequate for maintaining repair schedule. Orders/Reorders parts as

  • Ensures unserviceable and/or excess equipment is turned-in and new equipment is received, inspected, inventoried and

  • Prepares and maintains all supply documents and file using ARMIS filing

  • Ensures Contingency data base is maintained. Enters data, prepares and maintains documentation on all CBRN Defense Equipment, by NSN/line number, quantity, size, expiration date or shelf life, quantity required on-hand, quantity on-hand, quantity ordered, date ordered, and date due

  • Provides training to subordinates

  • Monitors operational readiness rate for CBRN

  • Establish a CBRN training

  • Maintain a listing of ASG and DOD civilian personnel currently authorized CBRNE

  • Provides equipment operator instruction and technical assistance to supported

  • Performs quality control inspection on repaired or serviced

  • Performs other related tasks as directed

Qualifications

  • Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • High School Diploma and 2-4 years related experience including 0-2 years of management experience is preferred.

  • U.S. Army Advanced NCO Course (ANOC) as a MOS 54B/74B Chemical Operations or other service specialty.

  • Ability to obtain host nation driver license.

  • Must be able to obtain secret clearance and should be able to maintain the required clearance

  • Must be CAC eligible and/or ability to obtain a CAC

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of Chemical Operations experience in any branch of the US Armed Forces or equivalent civilian service.

  • Approximately 5 years of experience with military maintenance record keeping methods is required.

  • Skills:

  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and management skills, in a professional demeanor, is required.

  • Ability to work effectively with employees and management of all levels [to include multi-national staff, superiors, and ranking military officers.

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, is required.

  • Collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork is required.

  • Ability to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion is required.

  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities in order to handle a demanding workload is required.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract and compile data for analysis, are required.

  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy is required.

  • Intermediate ability to communicate in English, both verbally and written is required.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications is required.

  • High-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately is required.

  • Ability to effectively respond to inquiries or complaints both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to effectively articulate information to management.

  • Ability to use independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives.

  • Working Conditions:

  • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, rainy environment with average temperatures of 35-45 degrees Celsius).

  • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies
