IHG Safety & Security Officer in Philippines

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day presents unique safety challenges and opportunities. As our Safety Officer, you will:

  • Lead with vigilance: Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all safety standards.

  • Champion safety culture: Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs for all hotel staff, fostering a proactive approach to safety.

  • Respond effectively: Act as the first point of contact for safety-related incidents, emergencies, and investigations, ensuring timely and appropriate action.

  • Maintain meticulous records: Document all safety activities, incidents, and corrective actions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

  • Collaborate and communicate: Work closely with all departments, including housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage, to promote safety awareness and implement effective safety measures.

  • Stay ahead of the curve: Remain informed about the latest safety regulations, best practices, and technological advancements, ensuring our hotel maintains the highest safety standards.

What We need from you:

  • Minimum Occupational Health and Safety Certification or equivalent.

  • 2 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably within the hospitality industry.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of local and national safety regulations and standards.

  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

  • Ability to respond to emergencies and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
