Accounts Payable Manager Purpose:

The Accounts Payable Manager is expected to meaningfully contribute to and perpetuate our purpose and values. Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the Accounts Payable team to enhance their performance and work product

  • Teach/manage the accounts payable training for onsite team members

  • Accounts Payable review for all communities under management including invoice review and check mailing

  • Ensure all invoices are approved prior to payment

  • Training of new-hires, internal team members and site teams related to system use, functionality, and reporting

  • Responsible for maintaining the vendor list

  • Research and resolve issues from vendor inquiries and clients

  • Maintain vendor compliance and insurance with our 3rd party tracking company

  • Annual 1099 processing

  • Petty cash and credit card reconciliation, reimbursements

  • Review resident refunds before checks are sent

  • Various accounting tasks such as replacement reserves, property taxes and unclaimed property

  • Review processes and procedures and look for improvements

  • Provide support with additional projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Yardi and/or MRI preferred but not required

  • Experience entering, reviewing, approving invoices into accounting software

  • Experience supervising with in a procure to pay team, under a paperless processing environment, workflow, electronic invoice or transaction import experience, creation of import templates and formatting

  • 2 years of experience managing people

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other business-related field preferred
