SUMMARY:
The College of Innovation and Design (CID/CBE) Associate Program Director, under general direction, assists with operations and administration, and maintains responsibility for the CID/CBE Student Support Services unit functions and supervises all CID/CBE Student Support Services staff. CID/CBE Student Support Services provides assistance for students from inquiry through graduation including services such as recruitment, application and enrollment, academic advising, financial aid and scholarship advising, etc. The CID/CBE Associate Program Director leads CID/CBE Student Support Services as a fully functioning, separate university unit but serves as a liaison for successful integration of CID policies and procedures concurrent with the respective main campus offices. CID/CBE Student Support Services staff report to the CID/CBE Associate Program Director who reports to the CID Dean. Work locations will include Commerce Campus and Dallas Site.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a member of the CID leadership team.
Primary assignment is the overall program management of the policies, procedures, and staff for CID/CBE Student Support Services.
Assist in developing and implementing strategic plans and lead strategic plans for assigned unit(s).
Assist in proposing, formulating and implementing policies and procedures unique to the online BAAS/BGS and the competency-based education programs.
Lead regular check-ins with campus internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and refine onboarding and advising procedures as needed
Assist to establish performance goals and metrics to evaluate the success of areas of responsibility.
Responsible for assessment and reporting of enrollment data
Develop reports, analyses and surveys
Facilitate relationships with internal and external clients, customers, and other interest groups.
Establishes and oversees a recruiting plan for CBE programs
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters degree preferred.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Eight years of related experience including higher education advising and/or enrollment management. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Knowledge of management and development of advising procedures and implementation of strategic planning. Knowledge of reporting, compiling, and evaluating data. Experience supervising staff.
Ability to: Multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Other Requirements: Position is located at the Dallas Site and the A&M-Commerce main campus; occasional travel to other A&M-Commerce campus locations will be required. Work may be required beyond normal office hours and/or on weekends.
PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree in related field. Customer Service training or certification. Leadership training or certification.
SUPERVISION OF OTHERS:
This position supervises all College of Innovation and Design Student Support Services personnel including but not limited to Academic Advising Specialists, the Enrollment Management Team, Onboarding Specialists, Processors, Task Workers, Graduate Assistants, Student Workers, and others as assigned.
