Job Summary:

The Global EHS & Product Materials Compliance System Administrator is responsible for the administration, technical support, and continuous improvement of key compliance systems, including VelocityEHS for environmental, safety, and health (EHS) compliance and the Materials Compliance Software for managing product stewardship obligations such as EU REACH, EU RoHS, Conflict Minerals, Extended Producer Responsibility (WEEE, Packaging, and Batteries), and other global compliance regulations. This individual performs a wide range of tasks to ensure the systems' effective deployment, integration, and post-implementation support across global business units.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • System Administration & Support: Administer and monitor VelocityEHS and Materials Compliance Software across multiple business units globally, ensuring system uptime, security, and compliance with applicable regulations. Provide ongoing post-implementation support to users, troubleshooting technical issues and resolving them efficiently.

  • Application Configuration & Updates: Manage annual upgrades, application configurations, and new software releases. Collaborate with EHS and compliance teams to ensure the systems are configured to meet evolving regulatory requirements and business needs.

  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct application testing for system updates, patches, and new configurations to ensure optimal functionality. Ensure that all system updates and configurations align with business requirements and compliance regulations.

  • Training & User Support: Deliver training to global users, guiding them on best practices for using the software to ensure efficient and compliant operations. Provide ongoing user support and act as a key point of contact for any technical or operational inquiries.

  • Data Management & Integration: Support data loads, integrations, and system deployments, ensuring that product compliance data, such as materials compliance for REACH, RoHS, and other regulations, is accurately captured and integrated into the system.

  • Global Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between global EHS, compliance teams, and end-users. Work closely with international teams to ensure the systems are aligned with global regulatory requirements, providing guidance on best practices for compliance.

  • Project Management: Lead or participate in projects related to system upgrades, new features, or regulatory changes. Ensure timely completion of project tasks, including system testing, training, and deployment activities.

  • Shift Flexibility: This role requires flexibility to work shifts that align with the global project management and compliance teams, ensuring round-the-clock support for all business units.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in administering and supporting web-based applications, specifically for EHS or materials compliance systems.

  • Strong understanding of global compliance regulations, including REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, WEEE, and Packaging & Battery regulations.

  • Excellent technical troubleshooting, system configuration, and testing skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with global teams and provide training to users.

  • Ability to manage multiple operational and project tasks in a dynamic, global environment.

  • Experience with system integrations, data management, and user support.

  • Flexibility to work across global time zones as needed.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in EHS or materials compliance software administration, or a related technical field.

  • Experience with VelocityEHS, Materials Compliance Software, or other similar platforms is a plus.

This combined role brings together operational management of EHS and materials compliance systems, ensuring that the software is properly supported, maintained, and aligned with the evolving needs of global compliance and regulatory environments.
