CymSTAR LLC Electronic Technician II - Baltimore in United States

SUMMARY:

The Electronics Technician Maintenance II performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical areas.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Maintain and support A-10 FMT systems.

• Verifies operational status of A-10 FMT systems, complete preventive maintenance, identify, record and transmit discrepancies, trouble shoot and repair discrepancies.

• Document all maintenance actions taken; coordinate for replacement parts and additional support as required.

• Install changes and updates to simulators and support equipment as required.

• Apply conventional engineering practices to complete required tasks.

• Familiar with and utilize detailed circuit diagrams; hardware or test equipment involving a variety of mechanisms.

• Conduct tests in support of troubleshooting to resolve maintenance issues or verify discrepancies that require selection and adaptation or modification of a wide variety of critical test equipment and test procedures; sets up and operates equipment; records data, measures and records problems of significant complexity that sometimes require resolution at a higher level; and analyzes data and prepares discrepancy reports.

• Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical diagrams

• Attends necessary weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings as required or directed by the Program Manager.

• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma is required. Associates degree or completion of one of the US military electronics schools or successful completion of a commercial electronics technician program is desired. Knowledge of A-10 aircraft, flight training, and a working knowledge of engineering concepts is preferred. Direct related and understanding of AutoCAD electrical and mechanical drawings, ability to review software source formatting is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional literature. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, and colleagues.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to comprehend and calculate ratios and percentages, Ability to comprehend and apply principles of modern algebra.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Basic understanding of computer operating systems and basic network skills.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

CITIZENSHIP:

U.S. Citizenship. Must be able to obtain a Secret Level Clearance

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Experienced and proficient in the use of standard Personal Computer productivity software tools including word processors, spreadsheets, presentation graphics, project management, and databases.
