Environmental Construction Project Coordinator

Power Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Construction Project Coordinator to work closely with the Environmental Construction Project Manager, construction management, and other field services staff during the execution of a large electrical utility project in Nevada.

This full-time position offers a remote workstyle from the Las Vegas, NV or Reno, NV area. The selected candidate will travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings.

Responsible for supporting all construction administrative aspects of the project, including contract management, subcontractor compliance, scheduling, document management, project onboarding training, inventory management, and project GPS tracking management. The incumbent must display a high degree of professionalism, organization, and cooperation with customers and co-workers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports the execution of POWER’s environmental construction compliance scope of work on the project

  • Assists in the facilitation of the project team’s familiarity with and learning of contract terms to administrative and all other project staff, contractors, and all others representing the owner

  • Collaborate with the Environmental Project Manager to prepare and submit budget estimates and progress of cost-tracking reports

  • Assists the Environmental Project Manager to review and respond effectively to project critical issues

  • Assists in effectively communicating the overall project status and maintains relationships with multiple stakeholders both internal and external to resolve coordination issues

  • Participate in various daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings, as required

  • Supports all administrative and coordination efforts as it relates to POWER’s environmental administration scope of work

  • Organizes project meetings, and agendas, completes meeting minutes, and tracks action items

  • Supports the inventory tracking of POWER equipment and vehicles assigned to the project

  • Assists during the onboarding of new project personnel

  • Provides administrative support for environmental compliance management program

  • Reviews and approves environmental inspection and SWPPP inspection reports, as requested by ECM

  • Assists with environmental compliance incident reporting

  • Assists with weekly and monthly report preparation

  • Coordinate documentation needed to support variance requests

  • Track variance requests and approvals

  • Assist with data integration QA/QC

  • Assists in the preparation of weekly and monthly status reports

  • Supports document control efforts both internal as well as subcontractor deliverables.

  • Supports and eventually leads the implementation and maintenance of GPS tracking management on the project

Required Education/Experience:

Included but not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent industry-related experience) from an accredited university – engineering, engineering management, construction management, or project management disciplines

  • Three (3) + years of equivalent industry-related experience in the engineering, construction, and/or electric power and communications industry

  • Experience in project scheduling, reporting, and administration

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and professionalism

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools

  • General understanding of project lifecycles

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Familiarity with various scheduling techniques

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively with competing priorities and stressful situations

  • Strong desire to take on various tasks and learn throughout the project

  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license

Base Salary Range: $45K-$65K

The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(k) match, etc.
