Job S ummary
The Master Utilities Plumber, under direction, supervises and participates in maintaining, repairing, and replacing major piping of large diameter size on campus main transmission water systems.
Essential Duties and R esponsibilities
Reports to Utilities Manager.
Performs a variety of duties in overseeing the maintenance, repair/replacement, operation and renovation of equipment and facilities in the Plumbing trade.
Reads and understands blueprints, specifications, or models to learn work layout, or plans own work layout, making routine computations as needed.
Analyzes & corrects complex building system problems, alone or as part of a team.
Maintains the systems, equipment, and facilities, in a clean safe operating condition in accordance with local, state and federal regulations as they relate to the plumbing trade.
Maintains logs, performs rounds, and makes recommendations for modification or improvement of p lumbing maintenance systems.
Learns and utilizes the site CMMS. Updates work statuses and documents tasks completed in the CMMS utilizing a mobile device in real time.
Helps Utilities Manager create and execute Preventative Maintenance plans with water distribution systems and equipment.
Supervises and trains other personnel in plumbing operations
Contributes to a safe work environment by quickly reporting accidents and unsafe working conditions.
Coordinates work orders with other shops as needed.
Will participate with on-call duties for evenings, weekends and special events .
Acts as service responders during emergencies, weather, and catastrophic events.

Minimum R equirements
Education – High School Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience .
Experience – Seven years of related experience
Knowledge /Skills – Knowledge of plumbing systems.
Ability to – Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Licensing / Professional Certification – Master Plumber License
