ICONMA, LLC Mechanical Design Engineer in United States

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will research, plan, design, and develop mechanical drawings and 3D models for defense products. Your work will include applying research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical systems, heat exchangers, antennas, frames, chassis, and circuit card assemblies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, plan, and design mechanical drawings and 3D models for defense products.

  • Develop and test mechanical systems, heat exchangers, antennas, frames, chassis, and circuit card assemblies.

  • Apply research findings to improve product design and functionality.

  • Collaborate with other engineers and departments to ensure product quality and performance.

  • Utilize software tools such as CREO for design and modeling.

  • Support prototyping and manufacturing processes, ensuring design feasibility and manufacturability.

    Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience with 3D models and CREO software.

  • 2-4 years of experience in design for manufacturing.

  • 1-2 years of experience in prototyping.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

    Preferred Skills:

  • 1-2 years of experience in additive manufacturing.

  • Experience in design and release processes.

  • Ability to communicate change board information.

  • Familiarity with ANSI Y14.5 drawing and GD&T standards.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment.

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
