Amentum Potable and Non-Potable Water Sub-AMP Manager in United States

Purpose and Scope:

Shall provide technical guidance on the Potable and Non-Potable Water on a military installation. This position is in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and is located at Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance to support the Utilities AMP Manager with duties and responsibilities for Potable and Non-Potable Water.

  • Responsible for an asset lifecycle management portfolio containing all Air Force-owned potable water, non-potable water, and fire emergency services (FES) systems up to the five-foot from the structures. This includes wells, distribution lines, potable water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pumps, valves, hydrants, and storage.

  • Advise and assist with the development of the FYDP+3 for infrastructure water plans.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Must be an Engineer Technician with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in their field of expertise.

  • Preference will be given to individuals who have worked on US Government and Military domestic and international projects.

  • Must be familiar with NexGen IT.

  • Must be BUILDER SMS level 3 certified.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to read and write English is required.

  • Solid communications skills, strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong ability to work as a member of a diverse, dynamic team.

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

  • Candidate is required to be a USN to fill this position.

  • Possess a valid state issued driver’s license and passport.

  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.

  • Prior overseas government contracting experience preferred.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

  • Able to stand for long periods of time such as eight (8) to ten (10) hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies.

  • Able to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds.

  • The Potable and Non-Potable Sub-Amp shall be located at Ascension Island.

  • Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.

  • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
