Position Overview:
Ideal candidate will focus on cellular signal booster development to with a passion to design, develop, and optimize RF systems for innovative signal booster products. This role involves contributing to the advancement of signal processing and control algorithms to enhance the performance of cellular communication systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in RF performance, creating products that improve cellular coverage and reliability in challenging environments. Strong communication skills are essential, and we value team players who are adaptable and willing to support the group in various tasks.
A day on the job may include:
Design and develop RF signal booster systems for cellular networks: product innovation, efficiency, and high-performance solutions.
Contribute to development of signal processing and control algorithms aimed at improving signal clarity, noise reduction, and overall system performance, without directly implementing them into end products.
System-level analysis, link budget calculations, impedance matching, frequency planning to optimize booster performance.
Utilize MATLAB and Advanced Design System (ADS) to simulate and verify RF circuit designs and DSP-related improvements.
Collaborate to ensure seamless integration of RF components and firmware.
Lead the prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of signal booster systems, refining designs based on performance data and technical feedback.
Ensure that designs comply with industry standards and regulations, FCC requirements for cellular signal booster devices.
Work with other engineering teams, to develop technologies that enhance product performance and meet customer needs.
"Productize" designs for production, generate bills of materials, part specifications, test specifications, and schematics and PCB layouts.
Draft and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, test plans, and design reports.
Stay informed on the latest industry trends and technological advancements in RF and DSP engineering.
Build/Tune/Test antenna prototypes
Provide technical support for sales and marketing activities

This job may be for you if you have:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related.
Strong computer skills required: Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Altium or other PCB Layout simulation tools
MATLAB and other DSP tools and ADS, Genesys or other RF simulation tools
System knowledge of signal processing architectures, techniques, methodologies and design within the Mobile cellular domain.
Working with embedded systems in RF/DSP-based products.
Knowledge of key components specifications and design techniques utilizing SAW, BAW, Resonators, Diplexers, Duplexers, PA's etc.
Experience with RF layouts and design tools such as MATLAB and Advanced Design System (ADS) for simulation and analysis.
Hands-on RF test bench experience using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and SMT soldering skills.
Creating test automation and system level field testing.
Extra Awesome:
3+ years of experience in RF design for wireless communication systems, with exposure to digital signal processing (DSP) techniques.
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE)
WiFi & Bluetooth implementation
Microwave and RF antenna theory
Cellular technologies such as 4G LTE, 5G NR, and signal amplification.
Strong computer skills in Linux based operating systems
Understanding and experience with difference cellular technologies such as TDMA, CDMA, GSM, and LTE within North America, South America, Asia Pacific regions.
