Avanade Inc. Senior Project Manager, Digital Experience Design in United States

Avanade is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join Avanade X (our Experience Design Agency). As an experienced Project Manager within Avanade X, you are a critical and strategic thinker who knows what it takes to deliver a digital experience that enhances the lives of customers or employees and overdelivers on client expectations through the process. You have an unwavering focus on the user, and on ensuring the work will drive towards business outcomes.

Come join us:

Involved from beginning to end, you have experience working with multi-disciplinary digital teams to define, plan and resource digital design projects, and then lead teams to produce amazing custom digital products and support significant enterprise-level technical implementations. You are comfortable with ambiguity and are adept at guiding teams through it. You are the key point of contact for the project team and will also help to set client expectations and serve as a key conduit of communications with them.

What you'll do:

• Support sales and BD efforts, estimating work effort and expenses.

• Determine the project deliverables, approach, staffing, responsibilities, and schedule.

• Design teams based on the roles and capabilities needed to deliver certain projects.

• Write SOWs and manage budgets.

• Work with resource management teams to ensure your team is staffed appropriately.

• Guide team members through task allocation and prioritization.

• Ensure that project resources are used effectively and identify and plan for any necessary training.

• Manage multiple cross-functional projects, from discovery and design through to technical development and implementation.

• Ensure the project team meets the objectives of each project on time and on budget and that the quality and integrity of the final work.

• Monitor project risks and issues to anticipate and identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address them.

• Identify new client needs and suggest approaches and solutions.

• Provide excellent client service, managing their expectations, and soliciting and acting on their feedback.

• Communicate and document project status and related recommendations to team members and clients.

• Follow project management methodologies and processes.

• Run projects with both waterfall and agile methodologies.

• Manage and mentor PM team members.

About you:

• Project Management Institute CAPM certification preferred, but not required.

• Microsoft and Sitecore certifications preferred, but not required.

• Diploma, degree, or experience equivalent in business, technology, experience strategy, or related subjects.

• 8+ years of agency or consulting project management experience.

• Cross-industry experience is an asset.

• Experience in financial services is an asset.
