During the winter, this position will operate truck to spread sand or salt on icy roads, hauling snow to a dumping point, and plowing snow. Other jobs include making minor repairs to trucks, construction projects, and driving a power tractor for mowing grass.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EITHER:A. One (1) year of experience in the operation of a truck requiring a Class B license to operate; OR,B. One (1) year of public works experience.SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:Eligibility and possession of a CDL Class B license with no air brake restrictions issued by the NewYork State Department of Motor Vehicles at time of appointment.• Must be able to operate a standard transmission.• License cannot indicate an E restriction.
