FLEXTM, INC is seeking a Tool and Die Maker for a full time position.

Primary Objective of this Position As a Tool and Die Maker you will build new dies and repair current production dies. In addition, you will build and repair jigs, fixtures, and machine parts with minimal assistance from others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators
• Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies
• Performs repair work by planning the appropriate method, then subsequently completing the job
• Assemblies die using all necessary components when available, and substitutes when required
• Assist in research and development for new and current parts and processes
• Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and hand tools
• Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications, making adjustment as necessary
• Ensure that work environment is maintained, clean, safe, and organized
• Other duties as assigned by Product Integrity Manager

Qualification of Position

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two year degree in manufacturing field is highly desirable

Working Conditions Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials up to 30 pounds. The use of safety equipment is required including but not limited to; safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed work boots.
