Description of Work

This is a part-time temporary position with no benefits. The successful applicant will be able to telework with only an occasional need to report in person.

The Deputy Secretary for Transit is seeking to hire an individual with previous state human resources experience. The successful applicant will provide policy guidance and procedural assistance in the areas of hiring, including providing support for the interview process for vacant positions. This position will also provide LMS support for the area of performance management. Experience in other areas of human resources are also beneficial. Past experience using BEACON/Fiori would be beneficial.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

The following is strongly preferred, but not required:

  • Experience using an HRIS such as BEACON/Fiori

  • Working knowledge of the state VIP performance management policy

  • Working knowledge of state government interviewing practices and policies

  • Knowledge of state government hiring practices

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from appropriately accredited institution in a discipline related to the area of assignment plus two years of programmatic experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
