Job Title: Inventory Clerk
Job Description
The Maintenance Parts Clerk is responsible for managing the overall operation of the parts room to ensure efficient and organized stocking, purchasing, and maintenance of parts used for food manufacturing equipment and related machinery. The role requires overseeing inventory control, vendor relationships, and purchasing decisions for parts and supplies. The Parts Clerk will also ensure cost-effective and environmentally responsible handling of oil, fluids, and waste. In the absence of the Purchasing Supervisor, the Parts Clerk will take charge of operations. This position plays an active role in planning, decision-making, and continuous improvements to the parts room and shop’s operation.
Responsibilities
Manage overall operation of the parts room, including stocking, purchasing, and maintenance of parts for food manufacturing equipment.
Oversee inventory control to ensure accurate tracking and management of parts and supplies.
Maintain strong vendor relationships and make purchasing decisions to ensure quality and cost-effective solutions.
Handle oil, fluids, and waste in an environmentally responsible manner.
Take charge of parts room operations in the absence of the Purchasing Supervisor.
Participate in planning, decision-making, and continuous improvements for the parts room and shop operations.
Essential Skills
Parts management and inventory control experience.
Strong attention to detail to detect deviations from standard operating procedures.
Effective communication skills with team members and supervisors.
In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and standards.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Experience in purchasing parts and supplies for maintenance operations.
Ability to organize and manage a parts room and track parts usage.
Strong judgment and problem-solving skills.
Strong computer skills for inventory management and purchasing systems.
1-3 years of experience in parts management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in maintaining a well-organized parts room.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Walton, Kentucky.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $23.50/hr.
