Wildfire Water Solutions is an innovative water conveyance company dedicated to providing critical water networks designed to confront catastrophic wildfire, ensuring the protection of communities and valuable assets. What You\'ll Do: \' Ensure machinery, equipment, and tools are greased, cleaned and maintained. \' Troubleshoot, plan, and repair pumps, heavy equipment, and trucks on site or in station. \' Fabricate and repair equipment on site or in station. \' Report, maintain, plan, schedule service or repair orders on all assets on site or in station including any necessary consumable products. \' Operate, maintain and repair water delivery equipment designed for wildfire control, including transfer pumps, lay flat hoses, and other heavy machinery. \' Operate pickup trucks with or without trailers to transport equipment and personnel. \' Work in collaboration with other wildland firefighters to execute fire suppression strategies and water delivery methods in active wildfire zones. \' Adhere to safety protocols, including necessary PPE, and emergency response procedures to protect both yourself and your team in high-risk environments. \' Use common hand and power tools, such as hammers, shovels, Pulaski\'s, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches. Preferred but not required Experience: \' Wildland firefighting or water delivery experience. \' Heavy machinery operation. \' Class A CDL with or without airbrakes. \' Knowledge of centrifugal pumps. Physical Requirements: \' Must achieve an arduous rating on the Pack Test (WCFT) which requires you to walk 3 miles with a 45-pound backpack in under 45 minutes. \' Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing 50-100+ pounds in difficult terrain and all-weather conditions. Job Requirements: \' Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and trailer repair. \' Ability to weld and fabricate as needed. \' Excellent teamwork and communication skills and ability to adapt to evolving situations. \' Ability to be calm and exercise good judgment during hazardous fire-suppression activities. \' Ability to listen, understand, and respond quickly to directions. \' Physical fitness and stamina to meet the demands of active wildfire environments. \' Valid driver\'s license (Class A or B preferred). \' Must be available for quick dispatch (within 2 hours) and long-term travel. \' Successfully complete training including but not limited to wildland fire certifications, safety, DOT, and MSPA (additional wildland fire training is required and will be provided). \' Will be subject to mandatory drug screenings. \' Enjoy camping and viewing the priceless sites of our nation\'s forests. Working Conditions: \' High-risk environment with exposure to extreme conditions (poison oak, bees, snakes, rough terrain, noise, heat, dust, smoke, burning and/or falling materials heat, etc.). \' Extensive travel and long hours (nights, weekends, and holidays) with accommodations at fire camps.
