Job Title: Construction General Laborer

Job Description

Candidates will work with duct or kitchen cleaning crews to assist crew leaders in cleanup work. They will use different methods and equipment to handle these functions and will travel to various commercial facilities, hospitals, and industrial buildings to complete assigned tasks. The cleaning will be done outside of the vents, but there may be times when they need to crawl into tight spaces to complete the cleanups. Candidates will meet at the shop daily and then ride to different sites to complete jobs. There will be some overnight travel, which is compensated for.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew leaders in cleanup work.

• Use various methods and equipment for cleaning tasks.

• Travel to different commercial facilities, hospitals, and industrial buildings.

• Clean outside of vents and sometimes crawl into tight spaces for cleanup.

• Meet at the shop daily and travel to different sites.

• Occasionally travel overnight for work assignments.

Essential Skills

• 6+ months of general labor experience.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working on flat rooftops and in smaller spaces.

• Shift flexibility (working 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift with weekly schedule changes).

• Mechanically inclined with knowledge of basic hand tools.

• Valid driver's license or state ID.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in air duct or kitchen exhaust fan cleaning.

• Experience with vacuums and power washers.

• Leadership experience or capability to lead crews.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
