SunSource Digital Electronic Technician in Warren, Michigan
Position Summary:Performs Service and Repair duties including routine maintenance, repair and assembly under supervision. Must demonstrate an interest in repairing Digital/software/programmed based equipment with a desire to achieve results while thinking outside the box. Responsibilities:1.Disassemble components and power units for service and repair including teardown and inspection of unit.2.Soldering and De-soldering of through-hole and surface mount components.3.Analyze unit and parts involved to prepare a listing of parts that are worn, damaged, or not functioning properly.4.Use multi-meter meter to test components.5.Initial Power Testing and Diagnostics with assistance.6.Read and comprehend manuals/schematics7.Standard level repair and testing within department with assistance.8.Clean, organize, and maintain the Lab equipment.9.Ensures safety rules and safe work practices are followed throughout department.10.Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development. 11.Other duties as assigned. General Education and Experience:1.EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D) required. 2.Electrical Aptitude Beginning ability in soldering, de-soldering, and component recognition. Ability to disassemble, clean and assemble electrical units and understand electric theory. Ability to read and comprehend schematics. Understanding of both direct and alternating current theory. 3.ExperienceElectronic experience desired, but not required. 4.Physical DexterityMust be able to lift up to 50lbs.
