Microsoft Corporation Program Management Coordinator in Washington D.C., District Of Columbia

Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO&I) is the team behind the cloud. Within CO&I, the Global Project Controls (GPC) team is responsible for delivering core datacenter infrastructure for Microsoft’s cloud business. The MS portfolio consists of complex, multi-disciplinary, large scale, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the cloud datacenters that power the world’s largest online services.

We are seeking an experienced Program Management Coordinator with data analytics and business intelligence experience to join the Global Project Controls team within CO+I Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the team's Rhythm of Business (ROB) and collaborating with both internal and cross-functional team counterparts. Your responsibilities will include overseeing team participation in key business deliverables, running business reviews, and engaging in strategic business planning activities.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders and Microsoft teams to develop and implement execution plans, ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives across functions within your area of ownership. Additionally, you will track and report on success metrics, including Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to evaluate the program’s quality, adoption, usage, impact, and overall effectiveness.

Your understanding of organizational strategy and deliverables will also support fiscal year budgeting and resource management planning, working collaboratively with the Leadership Team to align priorities and resources effectively.

This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ, Washington DC. Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location. This role is eligible for hybrid, up to 100% from home.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage organizational strategies and deliverables to support fiscal year budgeting and partner with leadership on resource management planning.

  • Contribute to cross-team projects to address evolving business needs and support a dynamic work environment.

  • Provide hands-on support for program and project tracking, engaging in strategic efforts across multiple disciplines as required.

  • Translate leadership direction into actionable plans that align current priorities with new organizational initiatives and objectives.

  • Support the organization's vision and strategy while maintaining consistent communication flow across teams.

  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and other departments to ensure successful execution of objectives.

Qualifications

Required Qualitifcations:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Experience working in construction/capital projects and integration of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Finance Processes (Project Controls)

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement

  • OR equivalent experience

  • 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects and planning, complex monthly rhythms of business

  • Analytical capability to identify opportunities to optimize business operations

  • Effective oral and written communication skills with leadership and team members

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and exhibits agility

  • Able to approach a project with a ‘Big Picture View’ and work in a fully collaborative and team environment

  • Highly self-motivated, detail oriented, problem solving, and comfortable with taking the lead on projects/initiatives

  • Growth mindset to promote scalability and efficiency

  • Execution experience with proven track record

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment dealing with multiple stakeholders and accuracy oriented.

Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
