Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Administrative Assistant I to support KPS and our government customer in Washington, DC. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for compiling and maintaining records of business transactions and office activities. This role will perform a variety of clerical duties, including copying data, compiling reports, tabulating and posting data, recording orders, providing information to customers and employees, preparing receipts, bills, invoices, statements, and checks, preparing stock inventory, adjusting complaints, and operating office machines and equipment. Additional responsibilities include opening and routing incoming mail, answering correspondence, preparing outgoing mail, taking dictation, greeting and assisting visitors, keeping books, and operating computer terminals to input and retrieve data. The Administrative Assistant will also provide administrative support assistance to program managers on specific Department programs and projects.
The Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective office operations, supporting program managers, and contributing to the overall success of the organization through their administrative and clerical expertise.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible administrative assistant/secretarial experience as a skilled specialist
Required Skills and Competencies:
Ability to learn and apply an advanced understanding of the organization and its functional policies and processes
Ability to manage dynamic calendars for management, including event planning with external vendors
Advanced writing skills to compose detailed correspondence and recommend updates to department documents
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office/PC applications, email, and office equipment (fax, phone, copier, etc.)
Ability to learn and apply an advanced understanding of a large, complex organization and its customers
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Desired Skills and Competencies:
Experience providing administrative support to program managers and specific programs/projects
Knowledge of office procedures and best practices
Familiarity with government agencies or organizations
