Amentum Dev Ops Engineer - Junior in Washington, District Of Columbia
As a Top Secret cleared DevOps Engineer for this program, you will be working in an organization that’s mission is to develop and operate the best possible software for critical national security enterprise applications. This organization leverages SCRUM and SAFE Agile software development methodology and strong Dev Ops practices.
You will be responsible for the design, deployment, testing, certification, operations, patching, addressing interoperability issues, of DevSecOps infrastructure tools, including all operating systems, support libraries, components, and application dependencies. You will deploy and configure services using infrastructure as a service provider and use scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the design, deployment, testing, certification, operations, patching, addressing interoperability issues, of DevSecOps infrastructure tools, including all operating systems, support libraries, components, and application dependencies. Responsible for the primary Operations and Maintenance workforce multiple tools. Deploys and configures services using infrastructure as a service provider. Configures and manages Linux-based servers to serve a dynamic website. Debugs cluster-based computing architectures. Uses scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems. Installs and manages open-source monitoring tools.
Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments. Performs work that requires practical experience and training. Work is performed under supervision. Minimum of 1 year experience recommended. In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.
A typical day in the life on this program involves:
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Automate processes and improve existing infrastructure
Monitor and maintain system health and respond to performance issues
Implement configuration management solutions to maintain consistency across environments
Work closely with the development and operations teams to streamline release and deployment processes
This position will be contingent upon award to support on-site in Washington, DC at the customer facility.
Requirements:
Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field
In absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements
Preferred:
