FANNIE MAE Enterprise Counterparty Risk - Risk Analysis - Associate (Flexible Hybrid) in Washington, District Of Columbia
Job Description As a valued colleague on our team, you will assist with risk monitoring and reviews for the organization, coordinate risk mitigation activities, and provide risk mitigation assistance to other groups.

The Enterprise Counterparty Risk - Risk Analysis - Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
Review the financial statements of bank and mortgage bank seller and servicer counterparties to opine on their overall creditworthiness
Complete written credit reviews and technical analysis of counterparties with clear recommendations and well-supported rationale
Assign and maintain internal ratings and limits for counterparties, monitor exposure vis-à-vis limits, and engage in risk mitigation activities
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence others
Ability to effectively collaborate and contribute towards projects and initiatives that align with the company’s goals and strategies
Foster a commercial mindset, seeking opportunities to drive constant improvement, increased productivity, and operational efficiencies.

Desired Experiences
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
Skills
Strong risk management expertise in evaluating the creditworthiness of companies and identifying opportunities to avoid, monitor, or minimize credit risk.
Experience in the process of analyzing company financial data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data.
Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions.
Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand.
Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal.
Ability to influence and persuade others, facilitate meetings, and resolve conflicts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
