Applied Research Associates, Inc. Program Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description

The Mission Concepts and Capabilities Division (MCC) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a motivated, energetic Program Analyst to support the government in the development and application of high-assurance computer security systems hardware and software. This contingent position, expected to start late spring or early summer 2025, will support provide support on-site in the National Capital Region, from ARA facilities, and via telecommuting when approved.

In this position, the successful candidate will

  • Provide strategic planning and implementation to enhance S&T cooperation between DoD and external organizations

  • Provide technical program management, contribute to program development, and monitor program progress

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or related discipline and 5+ years of related experience OR high school diploma and 10+ years of directly relevant experience

  • DoD TOP SECRET clearance

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

  • Experience providing strategic planning and implementation to enhance S&T cooperation between DoD and external organizations

  • Experience reviewing reports to ensure progress is accomplished toward program/project objectives and deliverables

  • Experience providing technical program management

  • Experience providing briefing/presentations to research sponsors and other government agencies on program development and progress

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline and three (3) or more years of related experience

  • Experience supporting various Communities of Interest (COIs) and Working Groups, such as Counter IED, Space and Arctic Communities of Interest, Automatic Target Recognition Working Group, Sensors and Processing Community of Interest and EW and Cyber Communities of Interest

  • Experience in the management of programs to ensure implementation and prescribed activities are completed in accordance with specified objectives

  • Experience planning and executing meetings and forums between program technical POCs, and preparing agendas and background briefings pertinent to the topics for discussion
