We are seeking a Senior Project Support Specialist to support a NASA contract in Washington, D.C.

Job Description: Provide senior-level administrative and program integration support to theSpace Technology Mission Directorate (STMD)at NASA Headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide integration support for leadership office and supporting the Space Technology Mission Directorate.

  • Provide logistical, coordination and location support for meetings, programmatic reviews, working groups, panels, and boards.

  • Support STMD in tasks such as developing spreadsheets, editing presentations, compiling and editing memos and program documents, coordinating proper executive signatures for forms and documents.

  • Coordinate and support travel logistics for STMD Senior Leadership, directors and Program Executives

  • Coordinate STMD programs/projects calendars and provide schedule support for internal and external events, forum venues, staff meetings, project assessment activities, and contractor visits and reviews.

  • Provide support for distributing and communicating STMD and program reports (internal and external), HQ reports, status reports, meeting items, management/lead feedback, rosters, and other communications as deemed appropriate by management/leads ensuring correct security protocol is followed.

  • Provide project management support to assigned special projects, including scoping the effort, identifying requirements, mapping outcomes

  • Support and coordinate the implementation of tools and processes to support and facilitate communication and collaboration across NASA

  • Provide support and management of program and project management forums, outreach activities, seminars, conferences, and workshops.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; Adobe Cloud suite.

  • Proficiency in technical writing skills; general administration/office skills.

  • Ability to learn nonstandard systems quickly, work independently, and interact comfortably and professionally with a diverse range of people, both face-to-face and in writing, including e-mail.

  • A strong ability on being creative, proactive, well organized, professional, reliable, and a multi-task expert.

  • Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job. Some travel may be required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of related professional experience or 8+ years of related professional experience in lieu of degree.
