Job Title: Plastics Instructor Job Type: 25-30 hours weekly**

Job Description Manufacturing Alliance Service Corporation (MASC) is a NIMS Certified, post-secondary school and educational foundation, dedicated to the development of training programs for the metalworking and manufacturing communities of the Greater Waterbury area.

Currently hiring for part-time Instructor for our Introduction to Plastics Program. The incumbent will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and instructing the curriculum for this new program. As such, they should have a detailed understanding of the Plastics industry. The successful candidate should also be highly motivated to work in an educational setting, and have the ability deliver instruction in an understandable, effective, and engaging manner to students. MASC employs a dedicated staff, led by an Executive Director committed to excellence. The center is eager to welcome and support a new addition to our MASC faculty. Responsibilities: Instruct and manage a class of 10 students. Develop student understanding of plastics theory. Direct student hands-on skill acquisition with a Wittmann Battenfeld Smart 35 Plastic Injection Molding Machine. Be able to create and/or follow lesson plans

Prerequisites for Position: College degree preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience working in the Plastics Manufacturing Industry Expertise in design plastics and injection-mold fabrication processes. Comprehensive knowledge of injection-mold machinery. Complete understanding of environmental regulations and protocols

Instructors must possess proven ability to effectively work with a culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students. They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills. As elements of instruction include web-based learning, computer literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.) are amust.
