We have been based in Waterford for over 40 years.

The CSSS is the Software Technical person on shift responsible for IT and Controls related software/hardware issue support across the Plant. He/she will be responsible for providing direct support to manufacturing ensuring that related issues are troubleshooted in a systematic and timely manner. These tasks are to be carried out safely and in accordance with in-house requirements and cGMPs.

Roles & Responsibilities

•Provide Software Support to Manufacturing Operations on a shift cover basis where required

•Diagnose and resolve IT Software and Hardware issues on shift, report software bugs for correction to the IT Department

•Diagnose and resolve Controls Software issues on shift, report software bugs for correction to Controls Engineering

•Communicate updates on issue resolution

•Work with both Operations and Maintenance to gather the relevant information for issues in hand and fault find the equipment

•Make the right decision to escalate a problem if unresolved in a timely manner

•Seek and take direction from the Shift Management on priority of issues

•Document fixes to problems in production and log call resolution details

Qualifications & Experience

•Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage and facilitate others

•Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

•Strong Knowledge and Experience of IT Hardware and PC Software

•Knowledge of Control Systems an advantage

•Ability to learn and adapt to new Technology

•Self-Starter, highly motivated & flexible, with ability to prioritise

•Good team player

•Ideal candidate will have a qualification in an Electronics or IT discipline and will have an appetite to develop their skills
