Codington County Administrative Support in Watertown, South Dakota
Under the direct supervision of the Treasurer, the Administrative Support is responsible for performing clerical functions within the Treasurers office for the County. The Administrative Support may be responsible for handling sensitive customer and County information, which requires that they maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:
Answer the telephone, greet individuals and answer any questions.
Maintain and update files within the Treasurer's Office.
Transfer all titles and handle all auto licensing.
Receive and record miscellaneous payments.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
Assist Deputies and Treasurer as needed.
Attend training, seminars, workshops and meetings as deemed necessary.
Perform duties in a manner consistent with safe practices and policies.
Perform other such duties and functions as deemed necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certification.
Ability to operate computer systems and software such Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, and Internet.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws pertaining to the County Treasurers Office.
Knowledge of record keeping and filing procedures.
Ability to make mathematical computations accurately and quickly.
Ability to demonstrate good communication skills.
Demonstrated teamwork, organizational, and customer service skills.
Possess the ability to be bonded as an employee of Codington County.
EXAMINATION, TESTING, AND CERTIFICATION
Must possess a valid social security number and a valid drivers license.
Successful competition in written and/or oral interviews.
Other such examination as deemed appropriate and necessary by the County.
