ITW Production Supervisor - 2nd shift in Watertown, Wisconsin

Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and will be responsible for motivating positive and productive employee development, continual production improvement while reducing costs, strong customer service skills, coupled with high energy experience to mento and motivate a team to deliver a quality product on time while maintaining adherence to Company policies.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for maintaining and promoting a clean and safe work environment.

• Direct supervision of multiple employees including assisting with interviewing, hiring, mentoring, and training of employees.

• Responsible for manufacturing parts as specified per job or customer requirements.

• Responsible for the quality of all products within an assigned work area.

• With assistance from the Production Manager, implement improvement projects/system enhancements which result in efficiency, quality improvements, and/or cost savings.

• Assigns job duties for all production employees in their team.

• Assists with personnel functions such as maintaining records, performing employee evaluations, establishing appropriate accountabilities and goals, etc.

• Required to communicate regularly with the leadership team regarding any problems or concerns.

• Required to communicate regularly with Purchasing, manufacturing coordinators and shipping to manage the purchasing and replenishment of consumables.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skill, Education and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

• At least 1-year experience in a lead or supervisory position preferred.

• Excellent time management, prioritization abilities and strong project management skills.

• Excellent computer skills including Excel and Microsoft systems (e.g. Word, Outlook)

• Employee relations: must facilitate good working relationships among subordinates, office and management.

• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.

• Working conditions including normal manufacturing setting such as temperature based on outside conditions.
