Scope includes leading projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business. Responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications and the simplification of business processes. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional areas area of expertise.

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for leading continuous improvement projects within GEHC's Patience Care Solutions business unit. The role will lead teams to deliver significant cost reductions and productivity improvements across multiple sites in the US, Mexico, Helsinki, Bangalore, Germany and China through operational excellence initiatives. The candidate will also work closely with cross-functional team members on new site startups and plant expansions. This individual will have responsibility over all of our manufacturing facilities, as well as our distribution centers. The ideal candidate will have experience working in operations, lean manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead lean transformation efforts by developing and implementing action plans to improve operational performance, reduce waste, and increase efficiency across all aspects of the business.

  • Coach and mentor staff on applying the principles of lean management to eliminate non-value added activities and drive continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross functional departments to implement strategies aimed at improving operational effectiveness, reducing costs, and increasing customer satisfaction.

  • Support new site starts and plant expansions by providing guidance on operational processes and procedures.

  • Monitor key performance indicators related to operational efficiency, quality control, and inventory management to identify areas for improvement.

  • Work closely with production managers to optimize workflows, streamline processes, and enhance productivity.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards for safety, quality assurance, and environmental sustainability.

  • Drive cultural changes by promoting a culture of continuous improvement and empowering employees to take ownership of their roles in achieving operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Minimum of ten years of experience in operations, supply chain management, or similar roles, preferably in the medical device industry.

  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing techniques and six sigma principles.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading large scale operational transformations and driving cultural change.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to manage complex projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Project Management tools.

  • Required to travel 20-50% , domestic and internationally
