McMillen Jacobs Associates Senior Civil Fisheries Engineer in Wedgwood, Washington

McMillen is currently seeking a Senior Civil Fisheries Engineer to work with our team of civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, structural, and aquaculture engineers on a variety of water resource and fisheries related projects. Responsibilities will include design and analysis of hatcheries, fish screening facilities, acclimation, upstream and downstream fish passage, fish collection facilities, intakes, hydraulics, and hydrology as well as pipelines, pump stations, site drainage, site grading, storm water systems, and stream restoration. The preferred location for this position is in Kirkland, Boise, Denver, Sacramento or Portland, but will consider remote or hybrid arrangements depending on experience. Responsibilities: Perform civil engineering design with a focus on fisheries related infrastructure applications; including hatcheries, upstream and downstream fish passage, stream restoration, fish collection facilities and other water resource facilities. Perform site investigations and/or inspections and provide detailed assessment reports of conditions. Develop project plans, specifications, and construction documents. Perform and/or supervise cost estimating on schematic, preliminary, and final design phases. Support the development of permit documents to meet federal, state, tribal, and local permitting requirements. Coordinate upland and bathymetric surveying and investigations. Develop design calculations, technical reports, design drawings, and technical specifications. Project coordination with clients, subconsultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Provide construction engineering support and management. Develop engineering fee proposals, track project budgets, and conduct monthly invoice review. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University Master's degree preferred 10+ years of experience in civil, mechanical, and/or hydraulic engineering PE Required; NCEES registration preferred Demonstrated experience with water resource infrastructure including fishery related projects, Knowledge of codes and standards related to civil design and fisheries criteria Strong communication, technical, and analytical skills Experience with Tribal, State, and Federal fish and wildlife program managers and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is a plus Compensation Package: Pay Range: $110,000 - $165,000 Benefits: McMillen provides a full Benefits Program consisting of Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, FSA, EAP, 401(k) and match, 9 Paid Holidays, generous PTO, opportunity for Stock Ownership and Wellness Reimbursement.
