Great River Health Systems Physical Therapy Assistant | 32 hours per week | Home Health in West Burlington, Iowa

Job Description:

To implement therapy and educate patient/caregiver according to the established plan of care to achieve maximal functional outcomes for reintegration to home, work, community and leisure activities. Provides quality rehabilitative services to persons including: implementation of established treatment program, thorough documentation and assertive communicative skills with all persons involved in the care and support of the patient/client. Position provides services for persons of all ages.

Assist physical therapists in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures. May, in accordance with State laws, assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, document the progress of treatment, and modify specific treatments in accordance with patient status and within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist.

Qualifications:

  • Requires Associates degree for Physical Therapy Assistant

  • Prefer 1-2 years health care experience

  • Maintains valid licensure/certification/registration

  • Requires license from the State of Iowa to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant or eligibility (must obtain at first opportunity)
