Job Type: Full-time, onsite, 40 hours per week, M-F, no on call/nights/weekends/holidays

Job Summary:

A Clinical Rater plays a key role in assessing patients and gathering data for clinical research studies. The position involves evaluating patients using standardized rating scales, interviews, and cognitive assessments to ensure accurate and consistent data collection. This data is critical for evaluating the safety and efficacy of investigational treatments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Administer structured clinical rating scales (e.g., MADRS, SIGH-D, SIGH-A, CGI, C-SSRS) and other cognitive assessments to research participants.

  • Conduct diagnostic interviews to assess patient symptom severity and confirm diagnoses.

  • Record and document findings in compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure data integrity by following standardized procedures.

  • Collaborate with clinical research coordinators, investigators, and other team members.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.

  • Participate in team meetings to review patient data and progress.

  • Stay current with new research protocols, rating scales, and industry standards.

  • Coordination of study protocols under the direction of the Principal Investigator

  • Attend investigator meetings for new and ongoing studies

    Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, nursing, or related field

  • 1-2 years of clinical research scale experience (50-100 administrations for each scale in the past year, preferred)

    Skills/Abilities:

  • Means and ability to commute to both offices in Media, PA and West Chester, PA

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Calm under pressure and capable of solving sudden problems that may not have clear answers or readily available resources

  • Proficient in navigating unfamiliar technology and programs independently and adeptly such as site CTMS

  • Personable

  • Effective communicator who can cooperate as a member of a team

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently within a hierarchy

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite
